Our Story

The Beginning
Our founder, Mr. Wu Chih-Hsien, originally established Yuanxun International Co., Ltd., focusing on research, development, and manufacturing in sectors like wind energy, green energy, and automotive products. Over time, he expanded into the medical, green energy, and solar industries. By chance, he began producing hearing aids as an OEM for Japan, which sparked his passion for self-developed manufacturing in the hearing aid industry.
A New Direction
Inspired by Japan’s Omron, Mr. Wu recognized the monopolistic practices and inflated pricing in the hearing aid industry. Seeing the impact on consumers—especially his sister, who had struggled with hearing loss since childhood—he was determined to make a difference. Leveraging his decade of OEM experience, he shifted his focus to developing hearing aids. Through joint efforts with leading Japanese technology companies, his innovation earned him Taiwan’s prestigious Innovation Invention Award.
Launching Taiwan's Only Domestically Produced Hearing Aids
Driven by his vision, Mr. Wu founded Mimitakara to create Taiwan’s first domestically produced hearing aids. Within a year, the product gained significant popularity in Taiwan and successfully expanded to markets in Europe and Japan. To eliminate middlemen and prevent price inflation, Mr. Wu established the company’s headquarters in Xindian, allowing Mimitakara to maintain full control over the entire production process—from research and development (R&D) to manufacturing and stringent quality control.
National Expansion
After nearly a decade of growth, Mimitakara earned widespread affection and expanded to 53 locations nationwide. The product became a symbol of Taiwan’s homegrown technological pride. With an annual production of one million hearing aids, Mimitakara has grown to become the largest hearing aid manufacturing center in Southeast Asia.
International Expansion
Mimitakara hearing aids have expanded far beyond Taiwan, establishing a solid international presence. With ongoing success, Mimitakara now serves customers in countries including the USA, UK, Japan, India, Thailand, Malaysia, and Vietnam, positioning Taiwan as a leader in global hearing aid technology and innovation.
A Message from Our Founder
Growing up with a family member who experienced hearing loss, I had the unique opportunity to witness their daily challenges up close. I saw how something as simple as changing hearing aid batteries became a frequent frustration, especially when the cost of replacements started adding up. I couldn’t help but wonder—why couldn’t hearing solutions be more affordable and user-friendly?
In our multilingual household, clear audio wasn’t just important—it was essential. The ability to distinguish subtle pronunciations in different languages was a daily struggle. This sparked my mission: to create high-quality, rechargeable hearing aids that not only deliver superior sound but are also accessible and affordable to all.
Every innovation we develop stems from a deep personal connection to the hearing loss community. Our goal is simple—to make hearing aids that empower people to live fully, without the barriers of price or complexity.
